The route is through the scenic destinations of Kerala , known for spices plantations. Hence the name “Spice Route�. The route is prepared in such a way that 30 per cent of the total route is winding through picturesque villages with rapidly changing scenarios and about 60 per cent will be on the highway, which was inevitable, in order to tuck in climbs.. The event will be real spicy with all the ingredients required for an endurance ride. Once the riders hit the Aluva-Munnar highway (part of NH 49) near Kothamangalam, they are treated to a super, world-class tarmac, all the way up and down. From Kothamangalam to Neryamangalam the riders can really enjoy the rolling terrains. A steady, long, winding uphill road begins at Ranikallu after Neriamangalam bridge. This stretch goes on till the turnaround checkpoint at Illichuvadu.
